Coming together is a Beginning. Keeping together is Progress. Working together is Success.
The Toronto Chapter was formed with an idea to unite and bring together all Indian Chartered Accountants living in and around the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Over the past 13 years, the Chapter has worked incessantly in providing best of the services to its members. With this goal in mind, the Board of Directors strive to help the members in every way possible and increase the brand awareness of the Chapter in the Canadian market.
This reminds me of a saying, “The key to success is to focus on goals, not obstacles”, which keeps me highly motivated. I am privileged to have a Board which not just dreams about success, but also works for it.
I am highly honored to serve the members of the Chapter consisting of highly professional, qualified and experienced Chartered Accountants who moved to Canada many years back and established themselves in Canada, as well as newcomers who came here with the dream of making Canada their second home.
I also thank the past Board of Directors for relentlessly helping the new Chartered Accountants to Canada through successfully arranging the MoU between CPA Canada and The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India; for mentoring and assisting members in their CPA qualification pursuit through the CPA Helpline and coaching events, and guiding them to find job opportunities and settle in Canada. The Chapter has also been serving the members in uplifting their career and providing growth opportunities through professional development sessions and networking events.
I also thank the established members for their support in the Chapter activities and guiding newly immigrated members in settling down and kick-starting their career in Canada.
In the recent past, the Chapter has taken up various new initiatives to serve its members including the Talent Share Program which will offer better job opportunities to the new immigrants, and the new website and Mobile App which enhances user interface and operational efficiencies. I will strive to continue these efforts, and collectively we will take them to the next level. Further, the Chapter is also working towards improving its professional development activities through webinars and enhanced professional development and networking events. In addition to the existing Members Benefits, the Board is working towards obtaining further discount programs from various organizations.
I wish to express my appreciation to all Board members for the leadership and commitment they demonstrate in providing Toronto Chapter with an independent, balanced and value-added perspective, and supervising and guiding members in enhancing the stability and strength of the Chapter and creating long-term value for members. Your Board of Directors is proud to be actively engaged in the achievements of the organization. Once again, I thank the members for their contributions to the continuing success of the Chapter.
