Toronto Chapter hosted an informative on Blockchain Technology on April 6 in Toronto

Toronto Chapter of the ICAI hosted a session on Impacts of blockchain technology. This session provided an overview of blockchain technology and how it’s being applied in various sectors, including market and investment activity. The primary objective was to help the attendees understand the impact this technology could have on their business model and strategy, and identify next steps. The session also discussed the possible impacts of blockchain technology on financial reporting, assurance services, and tax reporting.

Cross Border and Corporate Tax Update

Toronto Chapter of the ICAI organised Cross Border & Corporate Tax Update presented by Tim Bloos CPA CA, Partner in MNP’s International Tax Services group. The Event was on Feb 23, 2017  at Schooner Room,4th Floor, Scotia Plaza,44 King Street, Toronto.
The session was very helpful for members in practice and industry alike.


Mitigating Credit Risk

Toronto Chapter of the ICAI brought to you a professional development session on Mitigating Credit Risk by Symon Burgess & Akhil Kapur from Atradius Canada. Atradius provides trade credit insurance, surety and collections services worldwide with a strategic presence in 50 countries.



Toronto Chapter hosted session on Practice Inspection presented by David Kennedy. The prime focus will be purpose, mandate, program, process, deficiencies and outcome of Practice Inspection. David became a full-time practice inspector in 1987 and performs inspections for offices of all sizes.  His other responsibilities include the detailed review of inspection files prepared by other full- and part-time inspectors, assistance in the daily administration of the practice inspection program and instructing at the training sessions for part-time inspectors.
